Mushroom Compost

About this Product

Mushroom Compost is a nutrient-rich soil enhancer created from the residual substrate used in mushroom cultivation, perfect for enhancing soil structure, moisture retention, and promoting plant growth.

Mushroom Compost, also known as spent mushroom compost or mushroom soil, is not composed of mushrooms. It is a byproduct of mushroom cultivation, mainly consisting of straw, manure (typically from chickens or horses), gypsum, and other agricultural by-products that have been composted and pasteurized to eliminate pathogens and weed seeds. Once the mushrooms are harvested, the leftover substrate is reused as a soil amendment, abundant in organic matter and essential nutrients.
