Potting Fines

About this Product

Potting Fines is a mixture of soil and finely shredded pine bark that can be blended into other soils to give a greater soil density and, thanks to the addition of the pine bark, retain water more readily than other traditional soils. The combination of both allows the gardener to condition their soils according to the plants they wish to grow.

The Potting Fines also use composted pine barks to increase the soil quality and can allow some plants to cope better with certain conditions such as being in more acidic soils. Sometimes known as "Pine Fines".

Key features:

  • Increasing soil volume

  • Water retention

  • Soil conditioning

Great for: Combining with other soils to alter texture to support specific plants

Product Notes: Potting Fines is a mixture of various natural soils and pine barks, so variation can occur. The products showcased have some variation in either the colour, texture or size. Similarly, other slight variations may occur between the product displayed and the actual product.
